Kris Kringle Christmas Market

Modeled after famous markets in Germany, this annual event offers fireworks, light displays, food, handmade crafts from over 180 local artisans, children’s activities, shopping, live music, and more.

The $5 adult entry fee (children 10 and under are free) gives you access to the crafters and activities that include (but not limited to) Santa’s arrival, holiday fireworks (with music), Christmas tree lighting, strolling carolers, music from local school choruses and bands, an array of sales by local non-profit groups such as the Boy Scouts, a living nativity, various food vendors, children’s activities run by a 4H club, a lighted holiday path and Christmas Village. The McConchie School House will also be decorated and open for tours.

This family-friendly event, launched over a decade ago, has turned into a Charles County holiday tradition!
The Charles County Fair Board and Kris Kringle Christmas Market committee want to encourage locals and visitors alike to come out to enjoy the music, shopping, and tasty Christmas treats. We will have fresh holiday decorations available for purchase from local greens collected from local yards and fields.

The official tree lighting and arrival of Santa Claus will be held on Friday, December 12th at 5:00 pm.

Santa will be on site all through the Market operating hours!

Our primary mission is to support the families of our community that are impacted by learning differences through specialized tutoring, advocacy, consultation, and education.
